The Roads

The Roads is an historic area created originally by Mary Brickell in the 1920’s. It was one of the last parcels of property she developed and she made sure to put wide medians, sidewalks and roundabouts to create a welcoming neighborhood feel. The Roads is centrally located just south of Brickell and north of Coconut Grove. It is characterized by its “Roads”. Unlike the streets and avenues of Miami which run north/south and east/west, the Roads run diagonally off the grid.

The Roads has seen some new construction in homes and condos, but by and large, it features many smaller, quaint, historic homes with backyards. The Roads a great choice for those who need to be close to downtown Miami and Brickell, but prefer to live in a single family home.
